Over 86,000 chemicals are registered through the Toxic Substances Control Act, with many of these common chemicals being endocrine disruptors. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that alter normal endocrine function. In pregnancy, the endocrine system is everything. Growing evidence is linking many of these common chemicals with changes in placental and fetal growth and development.
